Sing-along at Tea-time

The St Chad’s Group organises three Sing-along sessions each year to mark and celebrate important occasions in the Church calendar. Currently these are Advent/Christmas, Easter and Harvest.

The meetings are lay-led and informal. They take the form of about six hymns with readings and a short talk. Prayers are said at the start, visitors are invited to write their own private prayer requests and we finish with the Lord’s Prayer. Tea or coffee with cakes are served free of charge  and everyone is welcome.

The sessions start at 4 pm and the dates for 2017 are:

Sunday, 23rd April – Easter – in George Chetwood House.

Sunday, 1st October – Harvest Festival – venue to be announced later.

Sunday, 3rd December – Advent/Christmas – venue to be announced.

Until this year all sessions have been held in the church but a move is being made to take them out into the community, nearer to where people live. If no outside venue can be used the sessions will be in church.
