On Sunday, 4th September, there is a Baptism Service at 11 am.

Wednesday, 7th September, Over 50’s Social and Coffee Morning from 10 am to 12 noon with Jane.

Also, MacMillan Coffee “Morning” run by Gabby Dukes from 3.00 pm.

Wednesday Services at 10 am in St John’s Church, Lawley: Morning Prayer on 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays; Holy Communion on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays with refreshments afterwards.

Thursday, 8th September, Knit and Natter meets from 1 – 3.30 pm.

Saturday, 10th September, the church will be open from 10 am to 12 noon for private prayer, individual Bible study and meditation.

NEXT WEEK. On  Sunday, 11th September, there is a Service of Holy Communion at 11 am.


From 10th – 11th September, Heritage Weekend at St James’s Church, Stirchley. The church will be open from 12-4 pm each day. The event will conclude on the Sunday with a Harvest Festival at 4pm with the Archdeacon of Shrophire, Ven. Rev. Paul Thomas as guest preacher.

Wednesday, 14th September, launch of a new Singing For Fun group at 7.30 pm at the vicarage. Speak to Denise Jukes for more information.

Thursday, 15th September, Life Group led by Rev John at 7 pm to continue on each 2nd and 4th Thursday. Contact Rev. John or Denise for more details.

Friday, 16th September, Prayer and Praise at 7.30 pm in Christ Church, Wellington. This service is to welcome the new Bishop to the diocese.

Sunday, 18th September, New Wine Celebration at 6.30 pm.

Saturday, 1st October, Away Day in Admaston House from 10 am to 4 pm. Rev. George Fisher will be speaking.

Military Wives Concert at 7.00 pm. Tickets costing £6.00 now available from John Chetwood and Daphne.

On Sunday, 16th October, Singalong at Tea-time for Harvest will be from 4 pm. All welcome.
