On Sunday, 13th March, there will be a Communion Service with Rev Tim Storey at 11 am.
PLEASE NOTE: on Tuesday, 15th March, there will be NO Parent and Toddlers meeting because the church is in use.
WEDNESDAY, 16TH MARCH, IS THE DEADLINE FOR REPORTS ON CHURCH ACTIVITIES FOR THE AGM TO REACH TIM BY EMAIL.
On Thursday, 17th March, there will be a social morning from 10 am – 12 noon for over 50s resident in Malinslee and Dawley, run by Jane Hill. On offer are crafts, woodwork, card and board games, etc., with tea or coffee and cake.
Knit and Natter meets from 1 – 3.30 pm.
On 19th March the church will be open from 10 am to 12 noon for private prayer, meditation and Bible study.
At Harvest we asked people to donate their talents, for example, painting, cleaning, etc. We particularly need help with painting and maintenance. If anyone can help please let John Chetwood know. A “ deep clean” session to prepare for Easter is being planned for 23rd March. If you can spare a couple of hours to wield a vacuum cleaner, mop or duster, please let Julie know.
NEXT WEEK: Palm Sunday, 20th March. The Service of Morning Prayer will be led by the Archdeacon, Rev Paul Thomas, at 11 am.
SERVICES FOR EASTER:
The Maundy Thursday service, 24th March, at 5.30 pm will be lay led.
There will be no Walk of Witness on Good Friday but there will be a service at 10.00 am in Dawley Christian Centre and John King will lead The Last Hour from 2-3 pm.
On Easter Sunday, 27th March, Rev George Fisher will be taking our Holy Communion Service at 11 am.
On Tuesday, 22nd March, a training session for taking part in “Open the Book” is being held in Dawley Baptist Church from 6.30 – 9 pm. You can just turn up but it would be helpful if you could register your interest with Sharon on 01952 505108 or email firstname.lastname@example.org beforehand.
The Annual General Church Meeting will be on Tuesday, 5th April, 2016, at 7 pm.
On Wednesday, 25th May, 2016, at 7.30pm there will be a Licensing Service for Rev. John Jukes in St Leonard’s Church with refreshments afterwards.
