Sunday, 18th October, Morning Prayer at 11 am.

Sing-Along at Tea-time at 4 pm will be celebrating Harvest.

Tuesday, 20th October, Parent and Toddlers meet from 9 am -11 am.

Thursday, 22nd October, from 10 am – 12 noon, a social morning for over 50s in Malinslee and Dawley, run by Jane Hill. On offer are crafts, woodwork, card and board games, etc. with tea/coffee and cake.

Effective Pastoral Care in the 21st Century, with George Fisher and Archdeacon Paul: examining the challenges of how to do effective Pastoral Care over changing patterns of attendance and accurately updating the Statistics for Mission form.

“Growing in Faith” course at Christ the King run by Tim Storey at 7.30pm.

23rd October, 7pm, Prize Bingo in St John’s Church Hall. A fun night for all.

31st October, Light Party from 4.30pm – 6.30pm. There will be food and crafts; entertainment will be provided by Joe Ridgeley performing as Professor Monster Van Mayhem. The event is free for 5-11-years-olds.
Also at Dawley Baptist Church at 6 pm “The Animal Man”, wildlife expert, Simon Airey, is bringing his collection of the most amazing creatures to for you to see. The event is open to all ages and free.

Stirchley and Brookside Community Christmas
The REAL CHRISTMAS STORY needs a large dressing up box to create outfits for shepherds, kings, angels and for Mary and Joseph. Janet is in search of materials to dress the nativity characters for two community events in December. If you have any fabric, halos, crowns, wings which you can donate to a small team of dressmakers or have time to create a tunic for any of the characters needed for the Christmas story, let Rev Janet know on or telephone 07980521064.

The Shoe Box service will be on 1st November when shoe boxes will be collected. Leaflets are now available in church.
